10 More Days!!!!

My birthday is March 10th! I'm going to be 21! Now if there are no other seats available I will be able to sit in the bar area, even though I won't drink. Lol. So many people have tried sitting my husband and me in the bar area and every time we've had to say I'm not old enough, so FINALLY in 10 day I'll be able to just go with it.

I know it is better to give than receive, but I love gifts and I CAN'T wait to see what I got from my hubby and from my mom! As I said I LOVE GIFTS! I'm not very good at buying gifts though :/

It's hard to believe I'll be 21, which means it won't be to much longer and I'll be 30! WOW! Time sure does go by quickly, and it keeps getting faster every year. But I'm trying to cherish it all.

21 in 10 days, May 15th will be 1 year in our house, and October 3 will be 2 years being married! In about 3 years we'll be discussing if we want a baby yet or if we want to wait, I'm sure those 3 years will fly by!

I think I'm going to have to do a yearly photo challenge type thing just to remember things that happened each year!

So far for 2011 I've had my blood drawn for the first time (at an age that I could remember it aka I was a baby last time) and I'll be at the 21 mark! Amazing!

New Recipe Update

The new recipe was great and SO easy! It's called Italian Bow Tie Bake.

You need:

1. 8 oz. Bow Tie noodles
2. 16 oz. Garlic & Onion Spaghetti Sauce
3. 1 package Italian dressing mix
4. 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

1. Bake the Bow tie noodles as directed on the box
2. Drain the noodle
3. In a bowl mix the spaghetti sauce and the package of Italian dressing mix
4. Add Bow tie noodles, stir
5. Sprinkle cheese on top
6. Put in greased shallow 2 quart baking dish
7. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes
THAT'S IT!

I suggest serving with a salad and breadsticks or Texas Toast

I'll have to get a picture loaded some other time :P

New Recipe

My husband is always complaining about me not cooking, especially since I have a ton of recipe books. So I finally went through a few of my books and picked out 4 recipes. And today I'll be trying my first recipe.

The recipe is Italian Bow Tie Bake.
I've never had this recipe or anything like it that I know of so I'm hoping that it's good and that both Miles and I will like it. If it turns out good I'll be sure to post the recipe! And possibly a picture!

I HOPE IT TURNS OUT RIGHT! lol.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words..

Oil Change Necessary 4 Times A Year? I think not.

This is 2011, yet we are still having to waste our time going to do stupid things such as oil changes. My point on it being 2011 is that we have so much technology, but no one is using it wisely. Yes, we have video games and big tvs, but seriously who wants to waste their hard earned money 4 times a year to get an oil change?

Now I know they say with the newer cars, if you don't travel far, then you should only have them serviced 2 times a year, but if you travel a lot then it should be serviced 3 times a year. But I would think with all the genius people there are in the world that they could surely make servicing only 1 time a year or even every other year possible.
But no everyone is to wrapped up in new video games and 3d this and 4d that and new game systems, better cell phones,... the list goes on and on.

How about finding some ways to save us money? Better gas millage, fewer oil changes, less traveling (every company should have jobs that could be done from home), cheaper foods (human food and pets), cheaper clothing, cheaper diapers and wipes, shelves, paint, wood,... once again another list that could just go on and on.

It seems that everyone just became so greedy that instead of just making the price a little higher to pay for the work, materials, and to get some profit they decided to make everything so outrageous so we would all go broke, including them. Because they raise the product they're selling that they've made and the people selling the materials see that they're making so much so they raise their prices, and so on and so forth.

So use your brains and think of ways to keep everyone from going broke. And everyone needs to stop being so greedy! The more you help others the better off you'll be. People need to use their common sense again!

An Obituary printed in the London Times - Interesting and sadly rather true

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records...... were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Shopping for the upcoming nephew...

I am so upset. My step-brother and his wife are having their first boy here soon and I was of course looking for the perfect gift something to make him like daddy. Well, I found a pair of boots like the ones above for infants at Walmart for $13! It was so perfect because that's the kind of shoes my brother wears! So I decided when it got closer to time I would buy them.

Well, I went to Walmart today and went to the shoe section to buy them and guess what they are now out of season! Those type of shoes NEVER go out of season! They're work boots! Stupid, stupid Walmart and even more so stupid me because I know how Walmart is, I knew I should have bought them when I saw them, but NO.

So now I'm desperately looking everywhere online to try to find a pair around $20. I've searched Walmart, Target, Amazon, shopstyle (they had them, but for to much $), .... So far JcPenny is the only place I've seen that might possibly have them (or something close) for a decent price.

If you know of where I can find some for a decent price PLEASE let me know! Thanks!

Breakfast...

On a scale of 1-10 I rate the importance of breakfast at 0. I've never been a person who liked to get up early and eat waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon,... and all the other breakfast food. Even cereal wasn't in my schedule for the mornings.

I used to go to school having not ate anything, starving by the time lunch came around.

But today I decided to make myself some breakfast. Eggs, bacon, and to drink is some orange juice. Why I decided to make it I have no clue. Maybe because I was hungry and there wasn't really anything else to make? I don't know.

I have to admit the only breakfast that I would willingly have every morning is the #6 at McDonalds. Oh, how I love those! It's always a #6 with a large Sweet Tea!

Another reason breakfast may not be so important to me is that I don't really like to cook and cereal everyday is just boring.

So yes, most days even now I don't eat breakfast. I wait until a few hours after I've woken up and I eat Ramen Noodles, left overs, Spaghetti, fish sticks,.... Basically something easy that has nothing to do with breakfast, even though it is still technically breakfast time.

To those of you who love breakfast, keep enjoying it, and for those of you who don't, glad to know I'm not the only one!

Mailman

This morning I put out my Netflix for the mailman to take like I do pretty much every other day. So I'm sitting in my loveseat watching a movie and the mailman walks up, I only knew this because there was far more beeping than normal. So I look over and the first thing I notice is a man playing with his little scanner and holding my mail. So like normal the guy puts our mail in our box then he scans the barcode, but instead of taking my Netflix with him he just leaves it there, like an moron. I mean really get your eye's checked or something!

Here Comes Spring!

I've got our house's windows, doors, and blinds open!! I love this weather! It's around 55 degrees outside and it feels amazing!! Oh, so I may have accidentally lied when I said that the windows are open (besides the ones on the door those are open), but as for the rest of the windows (or most of them) they have been painted closed by the previous owners. Why would you ever paint a window closed? I mean really what if a fire started and you couldn't get to the door and had nothing to break the window? Yeah, lets just sit there and die! NOT! I like for my windows to open and close! Anyways SUPER excited for the good weather and I can't wait until it stays like this!! (well, a little warmer than this)

Happy Spring Everyone! (Ok so I'm a little early lol)

Revival

My church is in revival! I guess it's funny to call it my church because I haven't actually been to church in a while, but I'm looking forward to making some, hopefully all of the revival services. We have at least 3 different speakers and one of them that I actually know of, that I know is awesome!

I'm hoping to find a connection that I've seemed to have lost. I don't know when I lost it or why I lost it, but I did. I lost a connection with God, myself, and my family. It could be due to let downs or lack of connection with people, not sure.

Anyways, I can't wait and well, pray for me!

A Week Sick

So, I think that the title explains what has been going on, but I'm finally getting better! After bags FULL of tissues, a red nose, lots of petroleum jelly to keep my nose from rubbing off, VapoRub, and lots of naps,.... And finally slowly getting rid of all the symptoms. The headache will probably be the last thing to go unfortunately. But happy it's almost over!

♫♪♪♫When you think Taylor Swift I hope you think of me..♫♪♪♫

♫♪♪♫This is my swallowin' my pride standin' in front of you sayin' I'm sorry for that night, I go back to Decenmber all the time...♫♪♪♫

I love Taylor Swift and all of her songs, but I can say that her song December can be fitting in so many ways and for so many different occasions. As I've said & even blogged before I have many people that I've had to say sorry to and this song fits (if you change some of the words)

♫♪♪♫Our song is the slammin' screen door, sneakin' out late tappin' on his window, when we're on the phone and he talks real low 'cause it's late and his momma don't know...♫♪♪♫

Haha.. yeah, that was fitting for one person. Not here to name, names.

♫♪♪♫ Cause I don't know how it gets better than this. You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless And I don't know why but with you I'd dance In a storm in my best dress, fearless...♫♪♪♫

Once again very fitting.

♫♪♪♫You are the best thing that's ever been mine♫♪♪♫

My hubby :)

... I could keep going, but it would take a while lol

Picture to burn would be a great one that I can kind of relate to.
When she said she only wanted to do songs that other people could relate to she really meant it and she accomplished it (I know I've said this before, but it's amazing! Lol)

Food time for me!

Finicky cats

My cats have suddenly traded me in... for my husband! This makes me sad. I enjoy petting them and having them sit in my lap and just sleep there for hours at a time. Don't get me wrong I love that they like him, but when he calls them they ditch me, which means that he calls them just to get my reaction. It's mainly our boys that have this attraction to him, the girls or technically the girl since only one of the girls is social kind of does her own thing until she decides it's nap time then she crawls in one of our laps (unless the floor is more appealing) DO I HAVE TO WEAR CATNIP TO GET SOME ATTENTION?!

Any ideas? LOL.

Feb 6, 2011 (Super Bowl, Sports, Glee, Surgery,..)

My hubby and I FINALLY got our big screen hooked up to the, what I'm assuming is basic cable. Not that we didn't know how, but we couldn't find our extender for the cables.

So needless to say we are watching the Super Bowl Packers vs Steelers, in case you didn't know.

I personally don't like sports. I occasionally like to play volleyball and even less frequently soccer, but as a 'rule' I don't play sports. I'm not very good at them, which could be caused by my hatred in controversy because it's not that I have bad balance or horrible hand-eye coordination, I've just never been good.

Oh and back to the whole Super Bowl, lets talk about half-time! The half-time was HORRIBLE! You agree, right? The black eyed peas were horrible, it wouldn't have been so bad, but Fergie was trying WAY to hard, which resulted in her screaming and ruining the songs. I wish Usher would have done something on his own, that would have been much better. BUT on the plus side all of the dancers and such were very interesting, I loved the colors, the shapes, and the dancing so CONGRATS to all them!

Since I dislike sports I am very happy that we are now in the 4th with 13 left so not TO much longer. Oh, I guess I never informed you that my husband is rooting for Green Bay Packers, though he wishes that the Lions would have made it instead.

While I'm on my talk of tonights tv... Glee. Now I realize that many people like Glee and that is your choice, but I'm going to tell you my opinion. I think it's stupid. They have NO fashion, those big glasses are RETARDED, and tons of people can sing and sing much better than them so why would I want to listen to them when I can hear someone I actually like? I mean yes, at first when I saw it with my friends I liked it, but I think I liked it because they liked it, not because I liked it. I unfortunately don't like many shows that my girl friends like, so hanging out with the guys is just much better for me.

Oh and if you're reading this and you pray then please pray for my mother she is having surgery tomorrow, which is supposed to be a fairly "easy" surgery and normally fairly painless, but I would like you to pray that it wouldn't hurt bad enough to need heavy drugs (she doesn't want to take any drugs for it), that everything will go well through the surgery, and that she will get all the feeling back in her arm/hand. Thanks!

Have a good night everyone!

GET A PARKING LOT!

SOoooooooo.... I have these "new" neighbors and instead of just living in the house they decided to have the guys hair cutting business there as well. So he sometimes has 2 or 3 vehicles (not including his own) parked in front of his house. So where does his car go? That's correct! It goes right in front of MY house! That's just RUDE!
They have this small back yard next to our junk garage (as in it's junk, not that junk is in there) and if they paved it or put gravel down they could have a 'quaint' little parking spot for at least 2 cars. Which would solve the problem of if I have company or if I happen to have to park in front of the house, like today, because of all the stupid icy snow. I don't think that is asking to much for them to consider another way for them to have their business but not be rudely parking in front of my home.

Back to mom's

No, I'm not getting a divorce. Since the storm is here and we don't own a generator my husband and I came to stay the night at my mom and step-dad's house. We also brought all 4 of our cats with us because if the electricity goes out I'm not going to leave them at the house to freeze and die. This'll be an interesting night for sleeping.

I WANT TO LISTEN TO....

Have you ever had a friend or family member bring up a certain song or singer and you suddenly wanted to listen to that and nothing else? Well, my mom mentioned Michael Buble and I hadn't heard his stuff in a really long time and I suddenly wanted to listen to his stuff, but my husband is being a butthead and refuses to change it from the music he's listening too. Which he's listening to Christian music so it's not bad, but when I hear music that I don't want to hear it makes me sleepy. So I'm all tired and bored and I've been asking for much over an hour, like possibly 2 or 3 hours. So I think he could change it to something that isn't going to effect me this way! We've been listening to his music for like 5 hours :/ SOMEONE HELP ME! lol

Travel Advisory Level 1

So Clinton County is under a level 1 after 2:30pm, but my husband won't get off until 3ish, which means he would be out driving and just getting home at 3:30ish. There's maybe 3 people that work where he works that live in Clinton County there's NO reason they couldn't let them go! But no they have to fill the racks before they can leave and then they have to clean! UGH!

Please pray that he gets home safely!!!
